Have you ever wondered about the interworking of the Hughes Fioretti team? The Hughes Fioretti business was started by Gary Hughes and Julie Fioretti. They have since become Gary & Julie Hughes, but the business name stayed the same. They have spent the last 15 years growing the HF photography business into a wonderful and compassionate team.
We sat down some of the team so you can get to know us better.

How did you get into photography?
Gary: I am a second generation photographer. Mom and dad were pros!
Julie: I fell in love with photography when a friend let me borrow his camera for the day. He put a new roll of film in it and I photographed bands around Warped Tour the summer of 2003.
Al: I’m the third generation of professional photographers, so I guess I was born into it. My dad had me working in the studio from a pretty early age.
Fio: I am not the photographer of the family, that would be my sister, Julie. But I do enjoy helping the family business succeed through encouraging and creating fun ideas with the blog and company social media.
What is your favorite part about working with the HughesFioretti company?
Gary: Being able to put family first!
Julie: The people of this company. We’re family. The fact that this company has allowed me to be able to homeschool my amazing little ones and watch them grow.
Al: I love being able to help clients build their personal brand. Hughes Fioretti is a uniquely agile studio, so we’re able to constantly adapt to our clients needs/the latest technology/new portrait styles.
Iwona: Everyday is a new day. Everyday is a new photo adventure.
Fio: Same as Gary, being able to put family first!
What are you most excited about with where the company is going?
Gary: Bringing in new team members and growing the Hughes Fioretti family
Julie: One of our core values as a company is helping other people and entrepreneurs. This year we are growing in ways that will expand beyond photography and teaching. It’s VERY exciting!
Al: I’m always excited about the new ways that we adapt and streamline the headshot experience for our clients.
Fio: I love how thoughtful HF is when it comes to making decisions on what is best for the company based on our values. With that being said, we have some really exciting opportunities in the future.
What do you want clients/audience to know about you?
Gary: I love working with people and genuinely want to help others succeed in their professional goals by
collaborating on impactful images. I honestly love my job!
Julie: I don’t get to interact with clients often, but I appreciate every single one of them. Especially our return clients. They are the reason we’re able to live this dream of ours!
Al: When you call the studio, 99% of the time you’ll be speaking with me! I don’t work in the studio (I’m from Austin, TX), but I keep all of the pieces moving behind the scenes, so your session experience is as smooth as possible.
