Five Things To Consider When Choosing a Venue – Orlando Wedding Venues

Choosing a venue for your wedding is, for most brides, the first and one of the biggest steps to planning a wedding. At the very moment you choose a venue and set a date, the wedding transforms from something you talk about to something that is actually happening. When we set a date and chose our venue we looked at each other and said “So I guess this thing is really happening!” The choices can seem endless, but in the end, just like there is a perfect groom for every bride, there is a perfect venue for her as well. To help you on that journey, here are a few things to think about when looking for yours:

1. Capacity – Yes you want enough room for all your guests, but you want to leave room for your event to contract or expand a bit.

2. Catering – Many Orlando wedding venues make you use their catering or choose from a list of caterers they approve. If you are thinking of doing something a little different as far as the food goes, you might need to search a little harder.

3. Bad Weather Backup – Although many brides dream of the perfect weather for their outdoor weddings, we have to be realistic. This is Florida, after all. If you are planning an outdoor event, make sure the venue that you choose has a backup plan in case it rains, especially you summer brides.

4. Lodging – Your traveling guests will definitely appreciate having a nearby, affordable hotel to stay in. Many hotels will throw in free transportation with your block of rooms as long as your venue is within a certain distance!

5. Style – Since you have embarked on the quest for the perfect wedding instead of eloping, make sure to pick a wedding venue that is right for you. There are so many to choose from in Orlando and Central Florida, if you keep looking you will find the perfect venue for your wedding. Start looking early, be patient and most importantly, don’t settle!
